I have known VOM for quite sometime
I even do receive its newsletter. Unfortunately, I am not very active in reading and taking much interest.
Couple of month ago, I saw a news flash about an old man being paraded before a camera, flanked by two soldiers
It was an old Christian man, apparently, and it was in north Korea.
It made me very sad. Having come from Africa, Angola, and now in Australia where I enjoy the freedom to worship, I can not say I have had an experience of being persecuted because of my faith.
The strange thing, I have been praying now and then for the North Korean president, as I often think of Nabuchodonosor of Babylon.
I feel that I have to find a way of writing to Kim…
I could hear the Lord saying, Father forgive him for knows not what he does.
We are always prone to criticise, but what would the Lord would have done if he knew the address of Kim?
Thank you for your work, and may the Lord continue to use you as you thrive all dangers in the name of the Lord
Sincerely yours in Christ!
Thank you for your message. We appreciate your concern for North Korean believers – North Korea is after all the most oppressive nation on Earth and the hardest place to be a Christian. Please continue to pray for the people of this nation and its leaders, it is the very best thing you can do for them.
We do not have any contact with the North Korean Government, however I did find the following online: http://www.northkoreanchristians.com/dprk-embassy.html
If you decide to write, as a word of caution, please do not mention Voice of the Martyrs, do not criticize the North Korean Government or enter into political discussion, always be polite.
