Authorities in China’s Fujian province destroyed more than a dozen Christian homes on 11 June.
At around 9am, more than 100 officials from various government departments arrived at the homes of Xingguang Church members. They moved furniture from the homes into the hallway. They yelled, “What are you recording!” at a person filming the incident and took the person’s phone away.
The authorities then proceeded to destroy property. In all, more than 12 homes were ruined, all had served as worship places for the church.
Wang Xiaofei, the wife of Xingguang Church’s pastor, asked for prayer from her friends on the social media platform WeChat.
This is the second wave of persecution against Christians from Xingguang Church since the outbreak of the coronavirus. On 3 May, more than 100 law enforcement personnel raided a worship service held by Xingguang Church and beat Christians and onlookers, injuring some. They also seized some Christians.

Thank you Kevin. Have a blessed day.
Indeed! Give them a voice as well as many 100,000s of others.
Our Father in Heaven, We are one with our brothers and sisters in China and long for the Day of Jesus’ return when we will be united together under His Lordship. We suffer with them in our hearts and pray for their strength and courage and for unfailing love to keep them humble and patient while they suffer the loss of property, comfort, and even lives of loved ones. But as You promised we endure for the promise of future grace. Sustain them we pray with visions of the Kingdom of Heaven and the King of all Heaven as Stephen was given. Let joy be upon their faces and unexplainable peace be theirs as witness of Your presence with them. We pray this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Yes Lord, amen and have mercy upon them. Thank you Heather!
Lord of the Nations, we pray for the Chinese Nation and ask for your unrestrained mercy to be shown to its peoples and leaders. We pray for the members and leaders of Xingguang Church who have been affected by systematic harassment and persecution and ask you to help them encourage one another and not lose heart. As God our provider, we pray provision for those who have suffered loss and damage and that you might provide them more than they could imagine. We ask they might respond with hearts of praise and thankfulness. As opposition from the Chinese authorities continues to increase, we ask that you will give believers strength to endure and courage to hold fast to the truth as they have received it. Teach and help them to continue in Christ, rooted and built up in him! Thank you Lord for their faithfulness. All praise to you.
Praying.
So many church people from the Xingguang Church have been persecuted by the Chinese authorities. May they not lose heart but encourage one another in their afflictions.
Lord, bring conviction to the Chinese authorities and cause them to seek true freedom in Jesus.
