A new report released last week tracking Christian persecution in China reported a marked rise in arrests, harassment, and imprisonment of Christians in China for the seventh year in a row. Despite this, or perhaps partially as a result of it, Christianity has been growing at an explosive rate throughout China. Unofficial estimates indicate there may be as many as 130 million Christians living in China today.
Despite incredible persecution, the Christian church has matured to the point where it can be concerned about theological training, music services, marriage counselling, and other routine services; they have made progress, demonstrating their faith, flexibility, and perseverance.
