Authorities in the southern province of Guangdong have forced Huaqiao City Church out of its premises by pressuring its landlord to end its lease. All other potential landlords the church has approached have refused to rent out property.
Meanwhile, in Guizhou, also in the south, a court has ruled in favour of seizing Huaqiu Church in Tongzi county. The house church appears to have lost its 18-month legal battle against officials’ claim it was illegal and should be confiscated. Church members insist it was officially registered.
In Xinjiang province, north-west China, police have accused a house church in Yining of being “unregistered” and its members of “illegal activities.” Three members were detained for 27 days after a police raid in November; they have since been released.

- Please pray that these Christians will stand firm in their faith and that God would provide them with premises in which to meet.
- That believers across China will radiate God’s glory in their communities (2 Corinthians 3:18) so His church continues to grow.
- Pray for the authorities, the landlords and all others involved who oppose Christ and His church. Ask the Lord to soften their hearts and draw many into a relationship with Him.
