CUBA: Government Restricts Bible Imports

As the government tightens its control of religious life in Cuba, Christians there expect it to become more difficult to bring Bibles into the country. The need for Bibles continues to increase as more people come to Christ through the faithful witness of the local church.

Over the years, believers have brought Bibles into Cuba by boat, by individual hand delivery and by government-approved shipments. This year, however, the government has stopped one of the ways Bibles were being imported, so fewer Bibles will be available.

Churches in Cuba face unrelenting pressure from the government, which remains committed to communism’s atheistic beliefs and sees them as a threat to the revolution.
