Dear Friends,

Triumphant joy over adversity, and staying the course, is the message emanating from our stories in this edition.

Adversity takes many forms and none more than having ongoing medical challenges and struggles, in addition to spiritual ones. I am constantly encouraged by fellow believers in persecuted countries as they display extreme discipline in their faith.

They know where their daily help comes from, and the Word is confessed and prayed over everything they face and endure.

In the 68 countries where Voice of the Martyrs has a presence and serves, there are ever-growing needs, as we find and reach more Christians who suffer under repressive regimes.

Through the vital medical help we provide, we see lives transformed. We have provided much-needed treatment for Christians who were losing their sight, just because no help was available. We provide other essentials like clean water, medication, prosthetics and even major reconstructive surgeries. We are there to step in and make a difference where needed.

I pray that as this new year starts to gather momentum, it will bring a prosperity of our souls to draw us into a closer relationship and walk with Christ. A close Christian walk is evident to us every time we meet our brothers and sisters in restricted nations and listen to their testimonies. We realise that endurance and being able to overcome is made possible through a dependent relationship with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus.

Please continue to pray for our brothers and sisters who require and await medical assistance, that we may be able to support their needs adequately through your help and God’s overflowing blessing.
