Radical Hindus recently attacked Christians in India, beating several church members, including a pastor, and killing an unborn baby.
One extremist assaulted Lila Bhai, who was eight months pregnant with her second child. The man kicked her stomach, leaving her writhing in pain. After the attackers left, Lila was taken to the hospital. Her unborn boy, however, did not survive the attack.

Members of the church and the pastor went to the police station to report the killing, but the officers would not hear their case. A lawyer has since been appointed to pursue the case in court.
Let us pray.
- Pray for Lila’s continued physical healing and for her and her family’s ongoing spiritual and emotional healing.
- Pray for Lila as a mother, who cares for her young, handicapped daughter.
- Pray for justice for this family and the other victims. Pray too that the Lord would have mercy on the perpetrators, that they would experience conviction, repentance and salvation through the Lord Jesus.
Dear Father, please be with Lila, please give her strength to continue. May she experience the strength and comfort of your constant presence. Please heal her body and soul after this tragic loss. Please convict the perpetrators and bring them to repentance. May they too one day submit to your lordship and seek forgiveness for this terrible crime. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Lord and Heavenly Father, you hate violence and have called us to love one another. We praise and thank you for the faith and perseverance of our brothers and sisters in this incident. We beg you to bring consolation by the power of your Holy Spirit to Lila in the loss of her child and the trauma of the beating she received. Help her by your generous provision to care for her young handicapped daughter. Give all the victims grace to forgive and the willingness to love their enemies and pray for those who persecute them. We also ask that in your good purposes justice might be experienced in this world for Lila and the other numerous victims. Lord have mercy.
