Four Christians imprisoned for their faith in Tehran’s Evin Prison are battling sickness following a possible outbreak of Covid-19 in their ward.
Nasser Navard Gol-Tapeh, 60 years old, Yousef Nadarkhani, 44, Saheb Fadaie, 40, and Moslem Rahimi, 32, are serving prison sentences ranging from four to 10 years for participating in house churches and promoting Christianity in Iran.

A new wave of the virus in Iran has led to a mass furlough of prisoners, but none of the Christian prisoners have been approved.

Let us pray.
- Pray these brothers will be healed from illness.
- Pray for their faith to be strong as they remain in prison, and that they may be a faithful witness for Christ to their fellow inmates.
- Pray this current outbreak may be used by God for the good of these prisoners.
In Jeremiah 17Vs 7-8, 14 we read,
7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
8 He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit….
14 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed;
save me, and I shall be saved,
for you are my praise.”
We pray for our brothers Nasser Navard Gol-Tapeh, 60 years old, Yousef Nadarkhani, 44, Saheb Fadaie, 40, and Moslem Rahimi, 32, who are all serving prison sentences because of their testimony to Christ. Lord of life they are all ill at this time and we plead for healing from their sickness as only you can bring about.
We pray for their faith to be strong as they remain in prison, for wisdom and grace as they relate to other prisoners and the prison authorities. We pray for a fruitful as well as a faithful witness for Christ to all around them.
We also pray for the nation of Iran, its people and leaders, that this current COVID outbreak may be used by you for the good of the progress of the Gospel and therefore the Iranian people. Pour out your Spirit across the land, Lord Jesus and bring grace and justice, peace, integrity and reconciliation with the world.
