An imprisoned Christian is asking for prayer specifically for his son. Ali was arrested for his participation in a house church. He is being kept in a prison separate from other Christians arrested at the same time and says he is often insulted by other prisoners for his faith.
Imprisonment is difficult enough, but Ali has an added stress: his son was expelled from school after his father’s arrest, losing his scholarship.
Worrying about his family has overwhelmed Ali at times, but he says he is learning to turn to God in these moments and trust that both his life and his family’s lives are in God’s hands. He told a VOM partner that he is thankful for all the brothers and sisters who are standing alongside him as he endures this trial.

- Pray that Ali will feel the Holy Spirit’s ministering presence. Pray too for his protection.
- Ask the Lord to give Ali opportunities to share with other prisoners, the very Gospel for which he has been detained. Ask God to be at work in the hearts and minds of those who hear the message of salvation.
- Pray God will make a way for other opportunities for education for Ali’s son. Pray for Ali’s family as they try to manage life during this time of separation.

Father, please be with brother Ali. May he and his family experience your presence and power fighting for them, making a way for them, healing them, delivering them, giving them wisdom as they need it, opening up opportunities for them to speak your word and most of all teaching them to trust you and hope in you. You promise never to leave them. Thank you so much. Amen
