An Iranian Christian has recently been released from prison, although the conditions imposed are severely restrictive.
Rasoul Abdollahi was arrested on 26 December 2010 along with Farshid Fathi and other believers. He was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment in December 2013 following a conviction for “collusion against the government” and “evangelism” and detained in Evin Prison, Tehran. He was later sent to Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj.
Rasoul was released on 16 February 2015, but strict conditions have been imposed which preclude him from participating in Christian activities. Violation of any of the conditions could result in his re-arrest to serve his full three-year sentence.

- Thank the Lord for Raoul’s release; pray the Lord will grant him strength to overcome his imprisonment.
- Pray the Lord will grant wisdom to Raoul to know how to serve Him, though imposed with severe restrictions.
- Pray for Farshid and other Iranian Christians in prison; ask the Lord to grant them the ability and willingness to completely trust in Him, His purposes and timing. Pray this time in prison may grow their faith in the Lord.
