The chief of Boukham village, along with the village security officials and village police, arrested Pastor Sompong Supatto and six other Christian believers for exercising religious freedom in gathering for worship at Pastor Supatto’s house on Sunday 28 September.
Prison conditions in Laos are appalling and the health of prisoners deteriorates quickly. As is commonly the case with Christian leaders, Pastor Supatto is being kept with his hands cuffed and his feet in stocks.

- Pray for Christ’s strength to come upon Pastor Supatto and the six other Christians as they are persecuted for His name’s sake.
- Pray that the Lao government will hold these authority figures accountable for their actions and immediately release any being detained for their faith.
- Praise God for the faithfulness of believers in Laos who continue to meet together and boldly preach the Gospel, in spite of the opposition.
