Seven families from two tribal groups are nearing starvation after village authorities confiscated their farmland because of their faith in Christ.
About 50 people from the Khmu and Hmong tribes form the seven families. “Their faith is strong, and everyone is actively serving one another and the Lord,” wrote a VOM partner.
The families are experiencing severe persecution, however. Authorities have taken their land and do not allow them to farm. When the village experienced a drought earlier this year, the government distributed rice to everyone except Christians. Authorities told them that if they want help, they must renounce their faith. “
Presently, the Christian families are in a dire situation with no food to eat. They have tried to dig up yam and to hunt jungle animals to sell in order to get rice to eat,” the VOM partner wrote.

Come soon Lord Jesus that all these things come to an end
Amen and amen
Lord, I pray You will strengthen and encourage these families. I pray that by their living testimony and demonstration of love, the authorities in Laos will come to know You. I also pray that You will provide miraculously for these faithful believers both physically and spiritually.
We thank you Lord for attention to their cause and their plight!
Dear Heavenly Father I pray for Christians in Laos for you to meet their and provide a safe place for them to worship. Increase their faith and soften the hearts of those in authorities. I pray for the Gospel to advance Amen
In Romans 15 Paul writes, “ 17 Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God. 18 I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done— 19 by the power of signs and wonders, through the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ. 20 It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known…” Equip and strengthen your servants Lord. Thank you for each one and I ask that Paul’s words may indeed be real in their walk with Jesus.
I pray for manna from heaven to fill their cups to overflowing. That the authorities in Laos would hear of the mighty hand of God and see the truth, and come to a knowledge of the One True God.
Oh yes Lord. Thank you Father for their faith and endurance.
Satan and his army know that the end of this world is very near and they will receive punishment. We are in the seventh millenia since creation and seven is God’s number. I believe that we will not see the 21st century come in.
Time is of the essence and Satan and his followers know it.

2 Thessalonians 3Vs1-5 says, “As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. 2 And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. 3 But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 4 We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. 5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.” May the power of these words be our brothers and sisters experience.
Father, might You provide for our brothers and sisters in Lao. Lord, thank you for their faith, might You sustain their faith, by Your Spirit and provide for them physically. Father, You know their needs even better than we do, so we pray that Your good will might be done, let Your Kingdom come, Lord! We pray that You will move the hearts of the local authorities and their fellow villagers, that You might work powerfully and that they will repent, be moved to love their fellow people and be curious about the name of Jesus. Father, You are the God who provides, so we pray that You will provide. But even if You do not provide physically, we pray that You will strengthen the faith of our brothers and sisters, that they will trust though the rice fields lie empty, their land desolate and their bowls barren. Thank You that You are the God of heaven and earth, Father, You are holy and able, so we praise You.
Amen Lord Jesus. The Holy Spirit ensured Peter’s words were retained for us when we read in 1 Peter 3Vs15-17, “ 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.“ Please give courage and strengthen our brothers and sisters. Help them to persevere. Help them to grow like Christ and to count it all joy that they suffer trials of various kinds knowing that these trials will bring completeness and maturity in Him.
God of the Nations, Lord over all, we pray for the more than 140000 believers in Laos and for their perseverance under severe discrimination and persecution. We thank you Father for your steadfast love and promises and ask that you might continue to watch the comings and goings of your servants in all that they do. We praise you that the evil men and women do is limited by your care. Please turn the hearts of the leaders and peoples of Lao to deep repentance and faith in Christ. Lift the ugly and dark veil that has shrouded their nation in darkness for so long and leads them to your everlasting arms. We plead for food and accomodation and a place to worship for these 7 families and give them true hope in you.
