Only days after he accepted Christ, 15-year-old Seng was already facing the persecution Jesus often spoke about.
After his parents learned of his decision, they sat down to talk with him, telling him he needed to renounce his “foreign” faith. If he didn’t, they would kill him or kick him out of the house. When Seng told them he wouldn’t, they packed up his belongings and told him to leave. “Go stay with those Christian friends of yours. You are not welcome here,” his parents said. “Stop this religion at once.”
Seng is staying with friends with assistance from VOM.

Talk to God constantly. Listen to him only. Be strong and of good courage. He will strengthen your heart. You have been chosen to live the light that comes from knowing Christ. You are a vessel of honor. I am praying for you
Dear Seng: love your smile! Once you belong to Jesus you have that comfort in your heart that He is so pleased with you and loves you. Stay strong. He is with you always and pray for the salvation of your parents so that they can love you again.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.“ Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, may your blessing be the experience of Seng as he begins his walk with you. Please fill Seng with your Spirit and help him by your means of grace to remain steadfast in the faith together with those he has sort refuge with at this time. Give them all courage to share the faith, trust wholeheartedly in you and be pure of heart, singleminded in their devotion to you. Help them Lord Jesus help them.
