As we reflect on the past year, let us remember God’s hand in the work we do in supporting the persecuted church with your unfailing support. While it is easy to just dismiss last year, we need to remember the victories we have had by His grace, some of which are reflected in our stories in this edition of the newsletter. We thank you for your generosity in supporting the work of Voice of the Martyrs and my prayer is that you and your family will continue to be blessed throughout the year.

Together, we held our faith; our guiding principle remains steadfast and true, “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them – those who are mistreated – since you yourselves are in the body also” Hebrews 13:3. Since our inception in 1969, our projects have remained consistent and reflective of this Biblical command.

You will read some amazing testimonies in our first newsletter for 2018 where believers hunger for the Word of God. Completing a variety of projects that ‘made a difference’ in the past year, shows the dedication of your partnership with us to serve those that are persecuted simply because they are Christian. From building wells in India and distributing Bibles in China, to providing sanctuaries to the afflicted and most importantly being a Voice to their plight, each project has been born out of the persecution these believers have faced.Unreservedly, you have given generously and placed YOUR trust in us to execute God’s work. We will, therefore always endeavour to do His will and as we move forward in 2018, let us pray for His strength and continued guidance. Now may the God of peace … make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20 & 21.

In Christ,

Tony Benjamin
