According to a recent report, 66 Churches have been burnt down in Kachin state, Myanmar since conflict reignited in June 2011. The report, released by the Kachin Women’s Association of Thailand (KWAT) stated that the churches were burnt down by Myanmar government forces.
Furthermore, it is also reported that there is growing evidence of systematic rape by the Myanmar military with KWAT reporting a staggering 30 incidents where 64 women or girls had been sexually assaulted in the Kachin State.
