The debate in Nigeria is beginning to rage about whether or not rescued girls should be allowed to abort the babies that were conceived by rape from Boko Haram fighters.
While the United Nations (UN) has reportedly suggested that the girls should have the babies aborted, a coalition of non-governmental organisations called the Foundation for African Heritage (FACH) calls the idea “unconscionable, inhuman and scandalous”.
The FACH members are offering free maternity and rehabilitation homes where the girls could willingly go to safely give birth to their babies and afterwards could give them out for legal adoption if, for any reasons, they do not want to keep them.

- Pray for the physical and spiritual healing of the girls who experienced trauma and many hardships while being held by Boko Haram.
- Pray that healthcare, social welfare and counselling services will be made available for the girls to enable them to be effectively reintegrated in the society.
- Pray for the many more people still being held captive by Boko Haram; ask the Lord to deliver them and restore them to life.
