There were two regions attacked near us last week, Bokkos and Miango. This is an update on the Miango attack.
Our head cook is from Maingo. Her name is Susan and she cooks about 8,000 meals a week for our bible school students, disciples and children in our crisis care home in Jos. Her nephew was killed in the Miango attack last week. We sent a team for Susan’s nephews burial. She was very upset, but is much happier now because of VOM’s support. Susan is a widow. Her husband died many years ago in a car accident. She is remarrying this year. She took us to her people from Maingo that were being treated in a Jos hospital. They are suffering from knife wounds, bullet wounds and broken bones from the attack. We paid the hospital bill for four of the people that had no one to help them. We also shared rice with people from the Maingo attack who were at the hospital.
Our team leader went to Maingo yesterday to assess the situation. He met with chiefs and looked at the scale of the attack. Our team will be going to Maingo on Monday. We will take rice, Bibles, and the medical team, with medicines, to Maingo and spend the day treating the victims.
Love in Jesus, from the whole team. Thank you for praying and thank you for supporting.
