Pledge Your Birthday to the Persecuted

A representative from Voice of the Martyrs visited a Sydney church earlier this year and gave a talk on the ministry to the persecuted church, based on Hebrews 13:3 “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.”

One of the church members, David was so moved by the talk he decided to ‘pledge’ his upcoming birthday to the persecuted church by asking friends and family to donate to Voice of the Martyrs in lieu of gifts.

David shared with us, “If we are willing to do anything for our blood family who are suffering, how much more for our spiritual family.”

David chose for the donated funds to be allocated to VOM’s Water Filter Project. He and his guests have made it possible for us to supply clean water to persecuted believers in Pakistan.

Many Christians in Pakistan are trapped in a cycle of poor education and poverty. Often, they are employed as indentured servants in brick kilns, as street sweepers or as sewage workers. Obtaining clean drinking water can be a problem for many Christians in Pakistan.

By providing a high-volume point-of-use water purifier with built-in storage, safe drinking water can be supplied to an entire community.

Pledging your birthday is an easy way to support our brothers and sisters in restricted nations,
100% of your donation will go towards a project of your choice. Contact us for details of current projects.
