Merv Knight read Richard Wurmbrand’s book, Tortured for Christ, and it changed the path of his entire life.
Merv helped found VOM Australia, working alongside Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand in the early days.
In this book he shares some of his memories of 50 years of working with Voice of the Martyrs and serving the persecuted church.
“This is not meant to be a chronological account but rather a kaleidoscopic view of those things that come to mind. My journey has been interesting to say the least, and has put me in touch with some of God’s choicest saints. This has been a great blessing in my life.
I have not looked for sensationalism or sought greatness, but as a servant of the Lord I follow where He leads.
Meeting with persecuted saints has been an enriching experience for me. It has been rewarding to have fellowship with so many co-workers along the way. They have all contributed something to my experience. My hope is that walking this pathway I have been able to help in some small way to carry on the vision of Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand. I hope I have brought a little encouragement and the warmth of Christian fellowship into the lives of a few of God’s children. For anything that has been achieved, to God be the glory.”
