From our CEO: April 2020

Dear Friends,

This month, we are pleased to share with you some highlights of our ministry activity in 2019.

We have endeavoured to distribute our funds far and wide, including partnering with churches who felt that VOM offered a wider platform for the commission they are called to complete.

Requests for practical help and spiritual encouragement from persecuted Christians, last year, were more numerous than any year in the past. This is not unexpected; persecution of Christians is at unprecedented levels around the world.

Though there is much opposition experienced in restricted nations, we are encouraged by the reports that more Muslims are coming to Christ now than ever before.

Our increased presence in local churches, along with an overall increase in awareness of VOM and the work we do in restricted nations, has helped us support persecuted
Christians around the world.

We give God the glory for His provision and faithfulness; and to you, our faithful supporters, I say a heartfelt thank you for being a part of this amazing work with which we
are entrusted.

Each time we step out into the mission field, we are constantly reminded how privileged we are to have freedom in Christ. This freedom does, however, come with the responsibility to never forget those who suffer for Him.

“And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God” Deuteronomy 28:2.

Thank you for your continued faithfulness in supporting those who suffer for His name.

God bless.

Tony Benjamin

Light and Hope this Christmas

Light and Hope this Christmas

As the year draws to a close, December is usually the time we reflect on the things we accomplished throughout the year. However, whatever was achieved was only made possible because you partnered with us and gave so generously.

On reviewing the work, we have been greatly encouraged by the number of persecuted believers we were able to reach. There were a variety of projects which, because of your support, have been completed. For example, many believers were given their own Bible in 2017 and funds were provided enabling several women to visit their husbands in prison. Thank you.

The light from the candles featured on the cover of our newsletter reminds us of the birth of Jesus, the ‘Light of the World’. Jesus came into this world to bring the light of the Gospel but He also brought God’s message of hope to humanity.

Featured throughout this month’s newsletter, you will read powerful testimonies from believers in Egypt who suffered greatly on Palm Sunday as ISIS bombed churches in Tanta and Alexandria. However, despite experiencing horrendous suffering, they placed their hope in God and this fuelled their faith enabling them to endure their many trials.

Throughout their time of hardship, we have stood with them. Our emergency appeal to help them was such a blessing. We were overwhelmed by your kindness and with the help of our contact and a well-planned distribution, your donations were placed into the hands of these persecuted believers and the stories in our newsletter reveal just how much your gifts were appreciated.

Blessings to you and your families this Christmas and we look forward to partnering with you throughout 2018.

In Christ,

Tony Benjamin
