Evangelical believers in Turkey number only in the thousands in this highly Gospel-resistant, Islamic country of more than 80 million.
A group of Turkish believers who produce Christian literature ask for prayer as they operate in a tense climate for believers. After nine years of publishing a theological magazine, they commented,
“We are still able to do our job in this dark atmosphere.”

A reader, Tolga, wrote to tell the group the difference the magazine made in his life. Tolga lived a life of crime and drugs growing up and was constantly in and out of jail. In prison, he heard about “missionaries” who spy on Turkish people, and it made him curious. One day he covered his face and secretly entered a church to obtain a Bible. In 2018, he subscribed to the Christian magazine to help him understand the Christian faith more fully; now he belongs to Christ and is saved. The believers who create the Christian magazine ask for prayer that they will be able to continue producing it. They also plan to produce content for the growing number of those living in Turkey who speak Persian.
“Pray that the hearts of the people we reach would be open to the Lord,” they wrote. “Our aim is only to serve the Gospel.”
Let us pray.
- Praise God for the continued opportunity to produce and distribute Christian literature; may the impact be significant and far-reaching. Pray for quality content.
- Ask the Lord to strengthen and encourage the church in Turkey. Pray for boldness in their witness for the Gospel.
- Pray for children and adolescent Christians in Turkey who often feel isolated and ostracised for their faith.
Holy Spirit fall onto Turkey and let the harvest be plentiful in Jesus name 🙏❤️
Thank you Lord for the believers in Turkey who are willing to share your Word despite sever opposition. Lord thank you for those who read this christian magazine and get saved as a result. Help them to grow in you, and protect them and all christians in Turkey from the enemies plans. Be with the children and teen christians because Lord it’s hard for them to be christian in a non christian country, and to have friends to share life with
In your loving name we pray.
We give thanks Lord that you have spoken in the past in many and varied ways through your prophets and we thank you that in these last days you have spoken to us through your Son Jesus Christ. We pray that His words would be received for what they actually are, the word of God and not manufactured or conjured up by humans. We pray for the missionary enterprise of your Spirit through your people in Turkey especially our brothers and sisters who produce this Christian Literature. Thank you for their work of faith and courage in continuing to distribute your word and we ask that you might pour out your Spirit of conviction and repentance on the leaders and peoples of Turkey and that they might be delivered from darkness into your marvellous light. We also commend to you children and adolescents who are followers of Christ that they might grow ion their faith and knowledge of Him whip is faithful. Help us to help them by our prayers and offerings.
