Hanifah is 40 years old. She was born into a Muslim family and she married a Muslim man. However, her faith in Islam was shaken when her children became terribly ill. Her husband called imams and sheikhs to pray for the children, but their health did not improve.
Finally, Hanifah felt compelled to take the children to a Christian church. She would secretly take them to services, and believers from the church began secretly visiting their home as well.

After some time of prayer and fasting, the children were healed. Hanifah and her children placed their trust in Christ and were baptised. When her husband discovered that they were secretly attending church, he chased them from his home and cut off all financial support. Hanifah and her children struggled financially, so her husband asked them to come home and return to Islam but Hanifah remained firm in her commitment to Christ.
“I have seen the power of God and the joy we received in Christ; I cannot go back to Islam. I have found the God who heals. If he healed my children, then He will be able to feed us and clothe us,” she said.
Hanifah’s church has been able to help them with some living expenses, but they are struggling.
Let us pray.
- Praise God for the miraculous way He has worked in drawing Hanifah and her children to Himself.
- Pray for Hanifah’s husband to find salvation in Christ, through the work of the Holy Spirit and the witness of his wife and children.
- Pray for peace of mind and provision for Hanifah and her family. Thank the Lord for the support the family has received from the church.
Lord Jesus Christ, you are the good Shepherd and supreme Pastor of your Church and we rejoice in the wonderful and miraculous way you have worked in drawing Halifah and her children to you. We plead for the salvation of Halifah’s husband, that you might lift the veil of unbelief from his eyes and work in his heart by the power of your Spirit bringing him to trust in Jesus Christ and him crucified and risen from the dead. We thank you for the fellowship that Halifah has enjoyed from your people and pray that you might continue to provide and support them through your Church. We praise you for Halifah’s testimony, “I have seen the power of God and the joy we received in Christ; I cannot go back to Islam. I have found the God who heals. If he healed my children, then He will be able to feed us and clothe us,”
Dear Lord, please bless Sister Hanifah and her children. Reward their faith in you with abundant provision. Bless her husband and may he too one day come to love and serve You and his family. In Jesus precious name. Amen
