Syamusudini began sharing the Gospel with friends at school after being rejected by his Muslim family and moving in with a local pastor.
One of his friends, Muhindo, listened carefully and soon decided that he, too, would follow Christ. Since he didn’t speak Arabic, Muhindo had never understood the Muslim prayer services, but he understood the words of Jesus.
Like his friend, Muhindo was rejected by his family. When his father learned of his Christian faith, he came after Muhindo with a machete. Muhindo then fled to his friend, where he was welcomed as part of the family. “I am a new creation, and I understand the one I pray to,” he said.

Our Father in Heaven, we thank you for the blessings of the Gospel and the means of grace that accompany them. We praise you especially for fellowship and prayer and your word and the gift of your Spirit. Give Syamusudini and Muhindo a firm and enduring trust in your incomparable Son, the Lord Jesus Christ and your infallible promises. May the Spirit of Jesus continue to direct and govern them as they seek your will. Protect and provide for them and equip them to the work of evangelism for your names sake.
Lord when those who were raised to believe someone else is God beside you, its a true joyous miracle to see them come to know and accept you as God, Lord and Saviour. We give thanks to you for these two friends. May their friendship with each other, you and other christians continue to grow and may they continue to grow in their knowledge of your Word. Protect them from the enemy Lord and from those who seek to hurt them. Lord may they be a strong witness to their families so that they too can come to know you. Bless them this day and forever more. Thank you also for the pastor and his family who were willing to take them in.
