When Ssuubi became a believer, his wife and children were given to another man and he was fired from his job teaching Islam. Then his family tried to kill him.

Despite these difficulties, Ssuubi was determined to follow Christ, even when he felt the Lord leading him to go back and share the Gospel with his people.

Ssuubi was attacked, harassed, abused and beaten as he shared the Gospel door to door. And recently he was given poisoned fruit, which made him ill. When his family confronted him again, he told them, “Christ changed me and I cannot forsake Him for anything.”

  • Thank the Lord for Ssuubi’s extraordinary boldness. Pray that in spite all he has endured; he will continue to trust in the Lord.
  • Pray that Ssuubi will fully recover from illness. Pray that God will renew in him a steadfast spirit (Psalm 51:10).
  • Ask God to bear much fruit from Ssuubi’s witness. Uphold Ssuubi’s family.
