Hmong Christians in the Nghe An province of Vietnam are suffering from severe persecution.
According to Morning Star News, officials in the province are trying to create “Christian-free zones” where they are able to operate “with no conscience or humanity”.
Most Vietnamese follow traditional animist teachings, and many who convert to Christianity face rejection and even persecution from their family members and communities. Vietnamese authorities pressure relatives of Christian converts to drive Christians from their homes and exile them.

The only hope these Christians have of re-joining their communities is if they renounce their new faith.
These forms of persecution, which are especially brutal in the Nghe An province, have primarily affected members of the Vietnam Good News Mission Church (VNGNMC) and the Evangelical Church of Vietnam-North (ECVN-N). The churches have reported that since April, gangs have come to terrorise congregants in the villages of Hoi Tu and Na Ngoi.
Leaders from both churches have appealed to government authorities for intervention and support, but all their attempts have been unsuccessful. The Vietnamese government has not responded to any of their pleas for assistance.

Please Pray
- Pray that new believers will stand strong while facing family rejection, evictions and beatings.
- Pray that church leaders will minister well and remain strong in their faith.
- Pray that more Bibles will be printed and distributed to meet the growing need.
Heavenly Father
I give thanks and praise to You for the faith of Your children in Vietnam. Please help them to stand firm in faith, and on the the truth of Your Word, so that they may receive one day, the crown of life. Guide their leaders, grant them wisdom so they can minister effectively, and strength to endure persecution with a heart of grace, as they serve You. Reassure them that their global family is lifting them in prayer.
Lord, may You keep providing funds and the means for Bibles to be printed and delivered to those who are hungry for Your Word. May the need for bibles keep on growing, as your kingdom keeps on growing amongst the people of Vietnam, despite the efforts of the enemy.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name I pray.
