In February, a Hmong Christian, Brother ‘Nou’, was confronted at his house by a relative with a gun, a knife and the intent to kill him.

Brother Nou has been persecuted by family members repeatedly since coming to faith in Jesus Christ two years ago. After their attempts at persuading him to deny Christ failed, they turned to anger and threats.

When the relative showed up at his house last month, a neighbour prevented the relative from shooting Brother Nou, but the relative was still able to pull a knife out of his bag and injure Brother Nou.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment, and local police arrested the relative for the assault.

  • Praise God for Nou’s faithfulness to Jesus. Pray this will spur on other believers to stand firm when facing such difficult opposition.
  • Pray for healing of Nou’s wrist, which sustained a deep knife wound, and for his continued ministry.
  • Ask the Lord to use Nou’s witness to draw others to Christ, including the relative who attacked him.

Dear Father,
I have yet to face the same opposition as my brother Nou. Please give me the courage to trust in You when resistance to the gospel becomes volatile in situations that I might experience. I pray that I will stay faithful to You and share such extraordinary faith to whomever You might lead me to. As You use Nou Your servant as a light to the locals of his village, strengthen him, encourage him and let the love of Christ shine brightly in his life. May Your glory be poured over this man’s life in Jesus’ name.

We love both testimonies and our hearts go out in prayer for you. The Devil hates believers and they come under attack many ways. Stand fast in Jesus Christ and the life to come will be beyond measure and all this hate will be left behind
