VOM’s international projects are overseen by our local contacts or are achieved in cooperation with partner ministries. These select examples have been chosen to provide an overview of how Voice of the Martyrs encouraged and assisted persecuted Christians with the help of our supporters in 2020.
We provide help to those who have suffered persecution themselves and for the families of martyrs or prisoners. Such help assists in the immediate aftermath of a persecution event and in meeting ongoing or long-term needs. Assistance includes living expenses, prison visitation trips, education and orphanages for children, microbusinesses, training programmes and safe houses for Christians whose lives are in danger.
India (Hindu world) – Providing clean water
Ten deep wells were provided for Christian villages to ensure a ready supply of clean water. Many believers are prevented from accessing communal water sources in Hindu areas, forcing them to use water from stagnant pools which can often result in waterborne diseases. These wells help ensure the protection and health of believers.

Palestine (Muslim world) – Food relief
Life is often very difficult in this poor and densely populated area of the world. Intense persecution from radical terrorist groups and extremist individuals makes the Christians one of the most vulnerable groups in the Middle East. Two hundred Christian families received food coupons to aid them in desperate need.
