Leadership training: Afghanistan

Afghan Christians face immense persecution, especially since the Taliban takeover. We supported the underground church in Afghanistan by helping to fund a 13-week Christian Leadership Training Programme. The aim of the programme is to prepare house church leaders with spiritual and practical tools to lead effectively. The training is delivered by experienced teachers and recorded for future use. The project is being repeated in 2025.

Please pray that God will restore the Afghan church, and grow and mature it far beyond the pre-Taliban takeover days.

Bible college: Nigeria

Our ministry partners provide theological education, accommodation, food, medical care and income-generating vocational training for several hundred students each year. Many are Muslim converts from Islamic strongholds in northern Nigeria and surrounding countries, who hope to return to their villages to spread the gospel and plant churches. This is an ongoing project.

Please pray that the Lord would use these Bible college graduates for far-reaching spiritual growth in Nigeria and beyond, particularly in places affected by Muslim terrorism.

Radio broadcasts: North Korea

An estimated two million North Koreans tune into illegal broadcasts daily. We help to fund the production and broadcast of Christian short-wave radio programmes to North Korea through our sister office, VOM Korea. The content includes sermons, Bible passages, Christian hymns and songs, and other programmes created by North Korean defectors. This is a continuing project.

Please pray: the North Korean government regularly attempts to jam the radio broadcasts; pray for the engineers to react quickly and adjust the broadcasts so they can be heard clearly. Pray that the Holy Spirit would touch the hearts of all those who hear the broadcasts.
