In Egypt, we annually fund five mobile clinics that travel to different villages in Upper Egypt. In these areas, Christians, especially those with Muslim backgrounds, are greatly persecuted. Many attacks against Christians occur due to the high density of Salafi Muslims and Muslim Brotherhood groups living in the area.
The clinics meet a variety of medical needs and are joined by medical specialists from fields such as paediatrics, dermatology, gynaecology, ophthalmology and ENT. We also help fund any surgeries or treatments for infectious diseases. As the mobile clinics visit each village, they also make ministry visits to houses in the area, distributing Bibles, Christian books and CDs, and hosting prayer meetings in the evening.
